Web Data Extraction

Web Data Extraction

The Internet as we know today is a repository of information that can be accessed across geographical societies. In just over two decades, the Web has moved from a university curiosity to a fundamental research, marketing and communications vehicle that impinges upon the everyday life of most people in all over the world. It is accessed by over 16% of the population of the world spanning over 233 countries.

As the amount of information on the Web grows, that information becomes ever harder to keep track of and use. Compounding the matter is this information is spread over billions of Web pages, each with its own independent structure and format. So how do you find the information you're looking for in a useful format - and do it quickly and easily without breaking the bank?

Search Isn't Enough

Search engines are a big help, but they can do only part of the work, and they are hard-pressed to keep up with daily changes. For all the power of Google and its kin, all that search engines can do is locate information and point to it. They go only two or three levels deep into a Web site to find information and then return URLs. Search Engines cannot retrieve information from deep-web, information that is available only after filling in some sort of registration form and logging, and store it in a desirable format. In order to save the information in a desirable format or a particular application, after using the search engine to locate data, you still have to do the following tasks to capture the information you need:

· Scan the content until you find the information.

· Mark the information (usually by highlighting with a mouse).

· Switch to another application (such as a spreadsheet, database or word processor).

· Paste the information into that application.

Its not all copy and paste

Consider the scenario of a company is looking to build up an email marketing list of over 100,000 thousand names and email addresses from a public group. It will take up over 28 man-hours if the person manages to copy and paste the Name and Email in 1 second, translating to over $500 in wages only, not to mention the other costs associated with it. Time involved in copying a record is directly proportion to the number of fields of data that has to copy/pasted.

Is there any Alternative to copy-paste?

A better solution, especially for companies that are aiming to exploit a broad swath of data about markets or competitors available on the Internet, lies with usage of custom Web harvesting software and tools.

Web harvesting software automatically extracts information from the Web and picks up where search engines leave off, doing the work the search engine can't. Extraction tools automate the reading, the copying and pasting necessary to collect information for further use. The software mimics the human interaction with the website and gathers data in a manner as if the website is being browsed. Web Harvesting software only navigate the website to locate, filter and copy the required data at much higher speeds that is humanly possible. Advanced software even able to browse the website and gather data silently without leaving the footprints of access.

PDF Scraping: Making Modern File Formats More Accessible

PDF Scraping: Making Modern File Formats More Accessible

Data scraping is the process of automatically sorting through information contained on the internet inside html, PDF or other documents and collecting relevant information to into databases and spreadsheets for later retrieval. On most websites, the text is easily and accessibly written in the source code but an increasing number of businesses are using Adobe PDF format (Portable Document Format: A format which can be viewed by the free Adobe Acrobat software on almost any operating system. See below for a link.). The advantage of PDF format is that the document looks exactly the same no matter which computer you view it from making it ideal for business forms, specification sheets, etc.; the disadvantage is that the text is converted into an image from which you often cannot easily copy and paste. PDF Scraping is the process of data scraping information contained in PDF files. To PDF scrape a PDF document, you must employ a more diverse set of tools.

There are two main types of PDF files: those built from a text file and those built from an image (likely scanned in). Adobe's own software is capable of PDF scraping from text-based PDF files but special tools are needed for PDF scraping text from image-based PDF files. The primary tool for PDF scraping is the OCR program. OCR, or Optical Character Recognition, programs scan a document for small pictures that they can separate into letters. These pictures are then compared to actual letters and if matches are found, the letters are copied into a file. OCR programs can perform PDF scraping of image-based PDF files quite accurately but they are not perfect.

Once the OCR program or Adobe program has finished PDF scraping a document, you can search through the data to find the parts you are most interested in. This information can then be stored into your favorite database or spreadsheet program. Some PDF scraping programs can sort the data into databases and/or spreadsheets automatically making your job that much easier.

Quite often you will not find a PDF scraping program that will obtain exactly the data you want without customization. Surprisingly a search on Google only turned up one business, (the amusingly named ScrapeGoat.com that will create a customized PDF scraping utility for your project. A handful of off the shelf utilities claim to be customizable, but seem to require a bit of programming knowledge and time commitment to use effectively. Obtaining the data yourself with one of these tools may be possible but will likely prove quite tedious and time consuming. It may be advisable to contract a company that specializes in PDF scraping to do it for you quickly and professionally.

Let's explore some real world examples of the uses of PDF scraping technology. A group at Cornell University wanted to improve a database of technical documents in PDF format by taking the old PDF file where the links and references were just images of text and changing the links and references into working clickable links thus making the database easy to navigate and cross-reference. They employed a PDF scraping utility to deconstruct the PDF files and figure out where the links were. They then could create a simple script to re-create the PDF files with working links replacing the old text image.

A computer hardware vendor wanted to display specifications data for his hardware on his website. He hired a company to perform PDF scraping of the hardware documentation on the manufacturers' website and save the PDF scraped data into a database he could use to update his webpage automatically.

PDF Scraping is just collecting information that is available on the public internet. PDF Scraping does not violate copyright laws.

PDF Scraping is a great new technology that can significantly reduce your workload if it involves retrieving information from PDF files. Applications exist that can help you with smaller, easier PDF Scraping projects but companies exist that will create custom applications for larger or more intricate PDF Scraping jobs.

Scrape amazon and price your product the right way – A use case

Scrape amazon and price your product the right way – A use case

So you built a product that you want to sell through Amazon.

How do you price your product?

Amazon is the world’s largest online retailer. Millions of products are sold through amazon.  a lot of people make their living selling through Amazon. One of the biggest mistake people do in Amazon is that they price their product the wrong way. Sometimes they sell overpriced products, sometimes they sell the underpriced product. Both situations are toxic for the business.

We recently worked with a company that helps small businesses sell the products efficiently through amazon and other marketplaces. One of the key things they are doing is helping people with pricing their product the right way.

What I learned from them is that price is a relative term and a lot of people does not understand it. Pricing is a function of the positioning of  your product in the market.

We need to collect the data using  a technique called web scraping to understand how to position the product. You can get the  data in a CSV file which can be used for analysis.

1) What is the average price of a comparable product?

Understanding the pricing  strategy of your competitors products  is the first step in solving the problem. This can give you a range in which you can price your product. You can get the pricing data by scraping amazon

2) Is this a premium product?

People always pay a premium price for a premium product. What makes a product premium? – A product is considered premium only when the customer believe it is worth the price. Excellent marketing and branding are the ways to position your product as a premium product. You can get the relevant data by scraping amazon.

3) What are the problems with your competitor products?

Your competitor products might be having some defects. Or they might not be addressing a relevant problem. You have every chance of success If you are solving a problem that your competitor doesn’t. You can find these problems by analyzing the product reviews of your competitors. You can get review data by scraping amazon.

By analyzing data you can reach at a point where your profit margin looks healthy and pricing looks sensible. Buyers buy the value, not your product. Differentiate your product and position it as a superior product. Give people a reason to buy and that is the only way to succeed.

Scraping Yelp Data and How to use?

Scraping Yelp Data and How to use?

We get a lot of requests to scrape data from Yelp. These requests come in on a daily basis, sometimes several times a day. At the same time we have not seen a good business case for a commercial project with scraping Yelp.

We have decided to release a simple example Yelp robot which anyone can run on Chrome inside your computer, tune to your own requirements and collect some data. With this robot you can save business contact information like address, postal code, telephone numbers, website addresses etc.  Robot is placed in our Demo space on Web Robots portal for anyone to use, just sign up, find the robot and use it.

How to use it:

    Sign in to our portal here.
    Download our scraping extension from here.
    Find robot named Yelp_us_demo in the dropdown.
    Modify start URL to the first page of your search results. For example: http://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc=Restaurants&find_loc=Arlington,+VA,+USA
    Click Run.
    Let robot finish it’s job and download data from portal.

Some things to consider:

This robot is placed in our Demo space – therefore it is accessible to anyone. Anyone will be able to modify and run it, anyone will be able to download collected data. Robot’s code may be edited by someone else, but you can always restore it from sample code below. Yelp limits number of search results, so do not expect to scrape more results than you would normally see by search.

In case you want to create your own version of such robot, here it’s full code:

// starting URL above must be the first page of search results.
// Example: http://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc=Restaurants&find_loc=Arlington,+VA,+USA

steps.start = function () {

   var rows = [];

   $(".biz-listing-large").each (function (i,v) {
     if ($("h3 a", v).length > 0)
       {
        var row = {};
        row.company = $(".biz-name", v).text().trim();
        row.reviews =$(".review-count", v).text().trim();
        row.companyLink = $(".biz-name", v)[0].href;
        row.location = $(".secondary-attributes address", v).text().trim();
        row.phone = $(".biz-phone", v).text().trim();
        rows.push (row);
      }
   });

   emit ("yelp", rows);
   if ($(".next").length === 1) {
     next ($(".next")[0].href, "start");
   }
 done();
};

Scraping Yelp Business Data With Python Scraping Script

Scraping Yelp Business Data With Python Scraping Script

Yelp is a great source of business contact information with details like address, postal code, contact information; website addresses etc. that other site like Google Maps just does not. Yelp also provides reviews about the particular business. The yelp business database can be useful for telemarketing, email marketing and lead generation.

Are you looking for yelp business details database? Are you looking for scraping data from yelp website/business directory? Are you looking for yelp screen scraping software? Are you looking for scraping the business contact information from the online Yelp? Then you are at the right place.

Here I am going to discuss how to scrape yelp data for lead generation and email marketing. I have made a simple and straight forward yelp data scraping script in python that can scrape data from yelp website. You can use this yelp scraper script absolutely free.

I have used urllib, BeautifulSoup packages. Urllib package to make http request and parsed the HTML using BeautifulSoup, used Threads to make the scraping faster.
Yelp Scraping Python Script

import urllib
from bs4 import BeautifulSoup
import re
from threading import Thread

#List of yelp urls to scrape
url=['http://www.yelp.com/biz/liman-fisch-restaurant-hamburg','http://www.yelp.com/biz/casa-franco-caramba-hamburg','http://www.yelp.com/biz/o-ren-ishii-hamburg','http://www.yelp.com/biz/gastwerk-hotel-hamburg-hamburg-2','http://www.yelp.com/biz/superbude-hamburg-2','http://www.yelp.com/biz/hotel-hafen-hamburg-hamburg','http://www.yelp.com/biz/hamburg-marriott-hotel-hamburg','http://www.yelp.com/biz/yoho-hamburg']

i=0
#function that will do actual scraping job
def scrape(ur):

          html = urllib.urlopen(ur).read()
          soup = BeautifulSoup(html)

      title = soup.find('h1',itemprop="name")
          saddress = soup.find('span',itemprop="streetAddress")
          postalcode = soup.find('span',itemprop="postalCode")
          print title.text
          print saddress.text
          print postalcode.text
          print "-------------------"

threadlist = []

#making threads
while i<len(url):
          t = Thread(target=scrape,args=(url[i],))
          t.start()
          threadlist.append(t)
          i=i+1

for b in threadlist:
          b.join()

Recently I had worked for one German company and did yelp scraping project for them and delivered data as per their requirement. If you looking for scraping data from business directories like yelp then send me your requirement and I will get back to you with sample.

Things to take care while doing Web Scraping!!!

Things to take care while doing Web Scraping!!!

In the present day and age, web scraping word becomes most popular in data science. Basically web scraping is extracting the information from the websites using pre-written programs and web scraping scripts. Many organizations have successfully used web site scraping to build relevant and useful database that they use on a daily basis to enhance their business interests. This is the age of the Big Data and web scraping is one of the trending techniques in the data science.

Throughout my journey of learning web scraping and implementing many successful scraping projects, I have come across some great experiences we can learn from.  In this post, I’m going to discuss some of the approaches to take and approaches to avoid while executing web scraping.

User Proxies: Anonymously scraping data from websites

One should not scrape website with a single IP Address. Because when you repeatedly request the web page for web scraping, there is a chance that the remote web server might block your IP address preventing further request to the web page. To overcome this situation, one should scrape websites with the help of proxy servers (anonymous scraping). This will minimize the risk of getting trapped and blacklisted by a website. Use of Proxies to hide your identity (network details) to remote web servers while scraping data. You may also use a VPN instead of proxies to anonymously scrape websites.

Take maximum data and store it.

Do not follow “process the web page as it comes from the remote server”. Instead take all the information and store it to disk. This approach will be useful when your scraping algorithm breaks in the middle. In this case you don’t have to start scraping again. Never download the same content more than once as you are just wasting bandwidth. Try and download all content to disk in one go and then do the processing.

Follow strict rules in parsing:

Check various rules while parsing the information from the web site. For example if you expect a value to be a date then check that it’s really a date. This may greatly improve the quality of information. When you get unexpected data, then the algorithm need to be changed accordingly.

Respect Robots.txt

Robots.txt specifies the set of rules that should be followed by web crawlers and robots. I strongly advise you to consider and adjust your crawler to fully respect robots.txt. Robots.txt contains instructions on the exact pages that you are allowed to crawl, user-agent, and the requisite intervals between page requests. Following to these instructions minimizes the chance of getting blacklisted and banned from website owner.

Use XPath Smartly

XPath is a nice option to select elements of the HTML document more flexibly than CSS Selectors.  Be careful about HTML structure change through page to page so one xpath you made may be failed to extract data on another page due to changes in HTML structure.

Obey Website TOC:

Some websites make it absolutely apparent in their terms and conditions that they are particularly against to web scraping activities on their content. This can make you vulnerable against possible ethical and legal implications.

Test sample scrape and verify the data with actual scrape

Once you are done with web scraping project set up, you need to test it for sometimes. Check the extracted data. If something is not good, find out the cause and make changes accordingly and finally come to a perfect web scraping project.

Calculate your ROI on Web Scraping using our ROI Calculator

Calculate your ROI on Web Scraping using our ROI Calculator

Staying atop the competition is a vital thing for the survival and growth of businesses these days. Ever since big data came into the picture, web scraping has become something businesses from every industry has to invest in. If your company is not in a technically advanced industry, web scraping could even be a nightmare to start with. Wondering if going with in-house web scraping is right for you? In house or outsourcing, in the end it’s all about the returns on investment.

ROI Calculator

Considering the numerous factors that determine how much web scraping can cost you, it’s not easy to calculate the ROI on your in-house web scraping.

In house web scraping is certainly a challenging process. If you plan on going down this way, here is a brief list of prerequisites.

Engineers

Technically skilled labour is an essential requirement for web scraping. Since, web scraping techniques are complicated, it needs good programming skills to write, run and maintain the scraping bots. The cost of labour can be one of the drawbacks with doing in house web scraping.

Hardware Resources

Web scraping is a resource hungry process which requires high end servers and lots of bandwidth. Without the adequate resources, you might end up losing important data. The cost of quality servers could easily make you want to reconsider doing web scraping on your own. Not to mention the doubling up of these resources in order to keep the data intact, espcially if you’re looking at large scale.

Maintainability and ukeep of your tech stack

Once you have your servers and other technical components setup, the real deal only starts. You have to ensure availability of your servers, data backups, restoring previous states, failovers, among many other complications associated with managing servers and fixing them up when something goes wrong. You need to allocate resources (both people and hardware) to take care of the above.

Time

Time is something that we cannot really include in the equation when it comes to calculating the returns. But it is definitely a factor that defines if web scraping in house is worth it. Although web scraping is the fastest way to acquire data, the initial setup and maintenance are time consuming and complicated. This could easily lead to conflicts when you have to distribute your time between web scraping and other business activities that are crucial for your company.

Try the ROI Calculator

We came up with an ROI calculator to easily calculate your returns on investment with our web scraping services. Using this, you could easily compare the cost of in house web scraping with PromptCloud’s dedicated web scraping services. Find out how much you can save by going the PromptCloud way.

Why Healthcare Companies should look towards Web Scraping

Why Healthcare Companies should look towards Web Scraping

The internet is a massive storehouse of information which is available in the form of text, media and other formats. To be competitive in this modern world, most businesses need access to this storehouse of information. But, all this information is not freely accessible as several websites do not allow you to save the data. This is where the process of Web Scraping comes in handy.

Web scraping is not new—it has been widely used by financial organizations, for detecting fraud; by marketers, for marketing and cross-selling; and by manufacturers for maintenance scheduling and quality control. Web scraping has endless uses for business and personal users. Every business or individual can have his or her own particular need for collecting data. You might want to access data belonging to a particular category from several websites. The different websites belonging to the particular category display information in non-uniform formats. Even if you are surfing a single website, you may not be able to access all the data at one place.

The data may be distributed across multiple pages under various heads. In a market that is vast and evolving rapidly, strategic decision-making demands accurate and thorough data to be analyzed, and on a periodic basis. The process of web scraping can help you mine data from several websites and store it in a single place so that it becomes convenient for you to a alyze the data and deliver results.

In the context of healthcare, web scraping is gaining foothold gradually but qualitatively. Several factors have led to the use of web scraping in healthcare. The voluminous amount of data produced by healthcare industry is too complex to be analyzed by traditional techniques. Web scraping along with data extraction can improve decision-making by determining trends and patterns in huge amounts of intricate data. Such intensive analyses are becoming progressively vital owing to financial pressures that have increased the need for healthcare organizations to arrive at conclusions based on the analysis of financial and clinical data. Furthermore, increasing cases of medical insurance fraud and abuse are encouraging healthcare insurers to resort to web scraping and data extraction techniques.

Healthcare is no longer a sector relying solely on person to person interaction. Healthcare has gone digital in its own way and different stakeholders of this industry such as doctors, nurses, patients and pharmacists are upping their ante technologically to remain in sync with the changing times. In the existing setup, where all choices are data-centric, web scraping in healthcare can impact lives, educate people, and create awareness. As people no more depend only on doctors and pharmacists, web scraping in healthcare can improve lives by offering rational solutions.

To be successful in the healthcare sector, it is important to come up with ways to gather and present information in innovative and informative ways to patients and customers. Web scraping offers a plethora of solutions for the healthcare industry. With web scraping and data extraction solutions, healthcare companies can monitor and gather information as well as track how their healthcare product is being received, used and implemented in different locales. It offers a safer and comprehensive access to data allowing healthcare experts to take the right decisions which ultimately lead to better clinical experience for the patients.

Web scraping not only gives healthcare professionals access to enterprise-wide information but also simplifies the process of data conversion for predictive analysis and reports. Analyzing user reviews in terms of precautions and symptoms for diseases that are incurable till date and are still undergoing medical research for effective treatments, can mitigate the fear in people. Data analysis can be based on data available with patients and is one way of creating awareness among people.

Hence, web scraping can increase the significance of data collection and help doctors make sense of the raw data. With web scraping and data extraction techniques, healthcare insurers can reduce the attempts of frauds, healthcare organizations can focus on better customer relationship management decisions, doctors can identify effective cure and best practices, and patients can get more affordable and better healthcare services.

Web scraping applications in healthcare can have remarkable utility and potential. However, the triumph of web scraping and data extraction techniques in healthcare sector depends on the accessibility to clean healthcare data. For this, it is imperative that the healthcare industry think about how data can be better recorded, stored, primed, and scraped. For instance, healthcare sector can consider standardizing clinical vocabulary and allow sharing of data across organizations to heighten the benefits from healthcare web scraping practices.

Healthcare sector is one of the top sectors where data is multiplying exponentially with time and requires a planned and structured storage of data. Continuous web scraping and data extraction is necessary to gain useful insights for renewing health insurance policies periodically as well as offer affordable and better public health solutions. Web scraping and data extraction together can process the mammoth mounds of healthcare data and transform it into information useful for decision making.

To reduce the gap between various components of healthcare sector-patients, doctors, pharmacies and hospitals, healthcare organizations and websites will have to tap the technology to collect data in all formats and present in a usable form. The healthcare sector needs to overcome the lag in implementing effective web scraping and data extraction techniques as well as intensify their pace of technology adoption. Web scraping can contribute enormously to the healthcare industry and facilitate organizations to methodically collect data and process it to identify inadequacies and best practices that improve patient care and reduce costs.

How Web Data Extraction Services Will Save Your Time and Money by Automatic Data Collection

Data scrape is the process of extracting data from web by using software program from proven website only. Extracted data any one can use for any purposes as per the desires in various industries as the web having every important data of the world. We provide best of the web data extracting software. We have the expertise and one of kind knowledge in web data extraction, image scrapping, screen scrapping, email extract services, data mining, web grabbing.

Who can use Data Scraping Services?

Data scraping and extraction services can be used by any organization, company, or any firm who would like to have a data from particular industry, data of targeted customer, particular company, or anything which is available on net like data of email id, website name, search term or anything which is available on web. Most of time a marketing company like to use data scraping and data extraction services to do marketing for a particular product in certain industry and to reach the targeted customer for example if X company like to contact a restaurant of California city, so our software can extract the data of restaurant of California city and a marketing company can use this data to market their restaurant kind of product. MLM and Network marketing company also use data extraction and data scrapping services to to find a new customer by extracting data of certain prospective customer and can contact customer by telephone, sending a postcard, email marketing, and this way they build their huge network and build large group for their own product and company.

We helped many companies to find particular data as per their need for example.

Web Data Extraction

Web pages are built using text-based mark-up languages (HTML and XHTML), and frequently contain a wealth of useful data in text form. However, most web pages are designed for human end-users and not for ease of automated use. Because of this, tool kits that scrape web content were created. A web scraper is an API to extract data from a web site. We help you to create a kind of API which helps you to scrape data as per your need. We provide quality and affordable web Data Extraction application

Data Collection

Normally, data transfer between programs is accomplished using info structures suited for automated processing by computers, not people. Such interchange formats and protocols are typically rigidly structured, well-documented, easily parsed, and keep ambiguity to a minimum. Very often, these transmissions are not human-readable at all. That's why the key element that distinguishes data scraping from regular parsing is that the output being scraped was intended for display to an end-user.

Email Extractor

A tool which helps you to extract the email ids from any reliable sources automatically that is called a email extractor. It basically services the function of collecting business contacts from various web pages, HTML files, text files or any other format without duplicates email ids.

Screen scrapping

Screen scraping referred to the practice of reading text information from a computer display terminal's screen and collecting visual data from a source, instead of parsing data as in web scraping.

Data Mining Services

Data Mining Services is the process of extracting patterns from information. Datamining is becoming an increasingly important tool to transform the data into information. Any format including MS excels, CSV, HTML and many such formats according to your requirements.

Web spider

A Web spider is a computer program that browses the World Wide Web in a methodical, automated manner or in an orderly fashion. Many sites, in particular search engines, use spidering as a means of providing up-to-date data.

Web Grabber

Web grabber is just a other name of the data scraping or data extraction.

Web Bot

Web Bot is software program that is claimed to be able to predict future events by tracking keywords entered on the Internet. Web bot software is the best program to pull out articles, blog, relevant website content and many such website related data We have worked with many clients for data extracting, data scrapping and data mining they are really happy with our services we provide very quality services and make your work data work very easy and automatic.

How to Scrape a Website into Excel without programming

How to Scrape a Website into Excel without programming

This web scraping tutorial will teach you visually step by step how to scrape or extract or pull data from websites using import.io(Free Tool) without programming skills into Excel.

Personally, I use web scraping for analysing my competitors’ best-performing blog posts or content such as what blog posts or content received most comments or social media shares.

In this tutorial,We will scrape the following data from a blog:

    All blog posts URLs.
    Authors names for each post.
    Blog posts titles.
    The number of social media shares each post received.

Then we will use the extracted data to determine what are the popular blog posts and their authors,which posts received much engagement from users through social media shares and on page comments.

Let’s get started.

Step 1:Install import.io app

The first step is to install import.io app.A free web scraping tool and one of the best web scraping software.It is available for Windows,Mac and Linux platforms.Import.io offers advanced data extraction features without coding by allowing you to create custom APIs or crawl entire websites.

After installation, you will need to sign up for an account.It is completely free so don’t worry.I will not cover the installation process.Once everything is set correctly you will see something similar to the window below after your first login.

Step 2:Choose how to scrape data using import.io extractor

With import.io you can do data extraction by creating custom APIs or crawling the entire websites.It comes equipped with different tools for data extraction such as magic,extractor,crawler and connector.

In this tutorial,I will use a tool called “extractor” to create a custom API for our data extraction process.

To get started click the “new” red button on the right top of the page and then click “Start Extractor” button on the pop-up window.

After clicking  “Start Extractor” the Import.io app internal browser window will open as shown below.

Step 3:Data scraping process

Now after the import.io browser is open navigate to the blog URL you want to scrape data from. Then once you already navigated to the target blog URL turn on extraction.In this tutorial,I will use this blog URL bongo5.com  for data extraction.

You can see from the window below I already navigated to www.bongo5.com but extraction switch is still off.

Turn extraction switch “ON” as shown in the window below and move to the next step.

Step 4:Training the “columns” or specifying the data we want to scrape

In this step,I will specify exactly what kind of data I want to scrape from the blog.On import.io app specifying the data you want to scrape is referred to as “training the columns”.Columns represent the data set I want to scrape(post titles,authors’ names and posts URLs).

In order to understand this step, you need to know the difference between a blog page and a blog post.A page might have a single post or multiple posts depending on the blog configuration.

A blog might have several blog posts,even hundreds or thousands of posts.But I will take only one session to train the “extractor” about the data I want to extract.I will do so by using an import.io visual highlighter.Once the data extraction is turned on the-the highlighter will appear by default.

I will do the training session for a single post in a single blog page with multiple posts then the extractor will extract data automatically for the remaining posts on the “same” blog page.
Step 4a:Creating “post_title” column

I will start by renaming “my_column” into the name of the data I want to scrape.Our goal in this tutorial is to scrape the blog posts titles,posts URLs,authors names and get social statistics later so I will create columns for posts titles,posts URLs,authors names.Later on, I will teach you how to get social statistics for the post URLs.

After editing “my_column” into “post_title” then point the mouse cursor over to any of the Posts title on the same blog page and the visual highlighter will automatically appear.Using the highlighter I can select the data I want to extract.

You can see below I selected one of the blog post titles on the page.The rectangular box with orange border is the visual highlighter.

The app will ask you how is the data arranged on the page.Since I have more than one post in a single page then you have rows of repeating data.This blog is having 25 posts per page.So you will select “many rows”.Sometimes you might have a single post on a page for that case you need to select “Just one row”.

Scraping LinkedIn Public Profiles for Fun and Profit

Scraping LinkedIn Public Profiles for Fun and Profit

Reconnaissance and Information Gathering is a part of almost every penetration testing engagement. Often, the tester will only perform network reconnaissance in an attempt to disclose and learn the company's network infrastructure (i.e. IP addresses, domain names, and etc), but there are other types of reconnaissance to conduct, and no, I'm not talking about dumpster diving. Thanks to social networks like LinkedIn, OSINT/WEBINT is now yielding more information. This information can then be used to help the tester test anything from social engineering to weak passwords.

In this blog post I will show you how to use Pythonect to easily generate potential passwords from LinkedIn public profiles. If you haven't heard about Pythonect yet, it is a new, experimental, general-purpose dataflow programming language based on the Python programming language. Pythonect is most suitable for creating applications that are themselves focused on the "flow" of the data. An application that generates passwords from the employees public LinkedIn profiles of a given company - have a coherence and clear dataflow:

(1) Find all the employees public LinkedIn profiles → (2) Scrap all the employees public LinkedIn profiles → (3) Crunch all the data into potential passwords

Now that we have the general concept and high-level overview out of the way, let's dive in to the details.

Finding all the employees public LinkedIn profiles will be done via Google Custom Search Engine, a free service by Google that allows anyone to create their own search engine by themselves. The idea is to create a search engine that when searching for a given company name - will return all the employees public LinkedIn profiles. How? When creating a Google Custom Search Engine it's possible to refine the search results to a specific site (i.e. 'Sites to search'), and we're going to limit ours to: linkedin.com. It's also possible to fine-tune the search results even further, e.g. uk.linkedin.com to find only employees from United Kingdom.

The access to the newly created Google Custom Search Engine will be made using a free API key obtained from Google API Console. Why go through the Google API? because it allows automation (No CAPTCHA's), and it also means that the search-result pages will be returned as JSON (as oppose to HTML). The only catch with using the free API key is that it's limited to 100 queries per day, but it's possible to buy an API key that will not be limited.

Scraping the profiles is a matter of iterating all over the hCards in all the search-result pages, and extracting the employee name from each hCard. Whats is a hCard? hCard is a micro format for publishing the contact details of people, companies, organizations, and places. hCard is also supported by social networks such as Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn and etc. for exporting public profiles. Google (when indexing) parses hCard, and when relevant, uses them in search-result pages. In other words, when search-result pages include LinkedIn public profiles, it will appear as hCards, and could be easily parsed.

Let's see the implementation of the above:

def __get_all_hcards_from_query(query, index=0, hcards={}):

    url = query

    if index != 0:

        url = url + '&start=%d' % (index)

        _query = query % company

        result.update(__get_all_hcards_from_query(BASE_URL + '&q=' + _query))

    return list(result)

Replace <YOUR GOOGLE API KEY> and <YOUR GOOGLE SEARCH ENGINE CX> in the code above with your Google API Key and Google Search Engine CX respectively, save it to a file called scraper.py, and you're ready!

To kick-start, here is a simple program in Pythonect (that utilizes the scraper module) that searchs and prints all the Pythonect company employees full names:

"Pythonect" -> scraper.get_all_employees_by_company_via_linkedin -> print

The output should be:

Itzik Kotler

In my LinkedIn Profile, I have listed Pythonect as a company that I work for, and since no one else is working there, when searching for all the employees of Pythonect company - only my LinkedIn profile comes up.
For demonstration purposes I will keep using this example (i.e. "Pythonect" company, and "Itzik Kotler" employee), but go ahead and replace Pythonect with other, more popular, companies names and see the results.

Now that we have a working skeleton, let's take its output and start crunching it. Keep in mind that every "password generation forumla" is merely a guess. The examples below are only a sampling of what can be done. There are, obviously many more possibilities and you are encouraged to experiment. But first, let's normalize the output - this way it's going to be consistent before operations are performed on it:

"Pythonect" -> scraper.get_all_employees_by_company_via_linkedin -> string.lower(''.join(_.split()))

The normalization procedure is short and simple: convert the string to lowercase and remove any spaces, and so the output should be now:

itzikkotler

As for data manipulation, out of the box (Thanks to The Python Standard Library) we've got itertools and it's combinatoric generators. Let's start by applying itertools.product:

"Pythonect" -> scraper.get_all_employees_by_company_via_linkedin -> string.lower(''.join(_.split())) -> itertools.product(_, repeat=4) -> print

The code above will generate and print every 4 characters password from the letters: i, t, z, k, o, t, l , e, r. However, it won't cover passwords with uppercase letters in it. And so, here's a simple and straightforward implementation of a cycle_uppercase function that cycles the input letters yields a copy of the input with letter in uppercase:

def cycle_uppercase(i):
    s = ''.join(i)
    for idx in xrange(0, len(s)):
        yield s[:idx] + s[idx].upper() + s[idx+1:]

To use it, save it to a file called itertools2.py, and then simply add it to the Pythonect program after the itertools.product(_, repeat=4) block, as follows:

"Pythonect" -> scraper.get_all_employees_by_company_via_linkedin \
    -> string.lower(''.join(_.split())) \
        -> itertools.product(_, repeat=4) \
            -> itertools2.cycle_uppercase \
                -> print

Now, the program will also cover passwords that include a single uppercase letter in it. Moving on with the data manipulation, sometimes the password might contain symbols that are not found within the scrapped data. In this case, it is necessary to build a generator that will take the input and add symbols to it. Here is a short and simple generator implemented as a Generator Expression:

[_ + postfix for postfix in ['123','!','$']]

To use it, simply add it to the Pythonect program after the itertools2.cycle_uppercase block, as follows:

"Pythonect" -> scraper.get_all_employees_by_company_via_linkedin \
    -> string.lower(''.join(_.split())) \
        -> itertools.product(_, repeat=4) \
            -> itertools2.cycle_uppercase \
                -> [_ + postfix for postfix in ['123','!','$']] \
                    -> print

The result is that now the program adds the strings: '123', '!', and '$' to every generated password, which increases the chances of guessing the user's right password, or not, depends on the password :)

To summarize, it's possible to take OSINT/WEBINT data on a given person or company and use it to generate potential passwords, and it's easy to do with Pythonect. There are, of course, many different ways to manipulate the data into passwords and many programs and filters that can be used. In this aspect, Pythonect being a flow-oriented language makes it easy to experiment and research with different modules and programs in a "plug and play" manner.

Content Scrapers – How to Find Out Who is Stealing Your Content & What to Do About It

If you have been blogging for a while, chances are you are familiar with content scrapers. Content scrapers are websites that steal your content for their own blogs without your permission. Some content scrapers will just copy the content off of your blog, but most use automated software that takes the content from your RSS feed and posts your content to their site like it is a new post.

In this post, we are going to look at some potential link building benefits to content scrapers, how to find out what sites are scraping your content, and what you can do if you want to either benefit from the linking standpoint or have them take it down.

Linking Benefits of Content Scrapers

Last week, I was happy to see that I was listed in ProBlogger’s 20 Bloggers to Watch in 2012. Within 24 hours, I received a notification in my WordPress dashboard that a page on my blog had been linked to in the post on ProBlogger’s site.

After receiving the original notification from the ProBlogger post, I also received another 18 trackbacks from sites that had stolen the content in their post verbatim. Trackbacks are WordPress’ way of letting you know that another website has linked to a post on your blog. In this case, these 18 sites had posted the content exactly like the original post – with the links back to my blog still intact.

It was then that I started contemplating the potential link building benefits of content scrapers. These are not by any means quality links – the highest Google PageRank was a PR 2 domain, many were stealing content in a variety of languages, and one even had the nerve to use some kind of redirection script to take away the link juice of outgoing links! So while these links didn’t have the same authority that the original post had, they still count as links.

How to Catch Content Scrapers

Unfortunately, unless you want to continuously search for your post titles in Google, you’ll only be able to easily track down sites that keep your in-content links active. If you want to know what websites are scraping your content, here are a few tips to sniff them out.

Copyscape

Copyscape is a simple search engine that allows you to enter the URL of your content to find out if there are duplicates of it on the Internet. You can get a few results using their free search, or you can pay for a premium account to check up to 10,000 pages on your site and more.

Trackbacks

The first way is through your trackbacks in WordPress (as shown in the image above). Many of these will show up in the spam folder if you use Akismet. The key to getting trackbacks to appear from content scrapers is to always include links to other posts in your content. Be sure those links have great anchor text too, if you’re going for a little extra link juice. And even if you are not, internal linking with strong anchor text is good for your on-site optimization too!

Anyone thinking about link building benefits at this point is probably noting the sheer volume of links from these sites, some of which are content scrapers. Essentially any site that is linking to a lot of your posts that isn’t a social network, social bookmarking site, or a die-hard fan who just loves linking to you is potentially a content scraper. You’ll have to go to their website to be sure. To find your links on their site, click on one of the domains to see the details of what pages on your site they are linking to specifically.

You can see here that they are just blatantly copying my posts titles. When I visited one of the links, sure enough, they are copying my entire posts in their full glory onto their site.

Google Alerts

If you don’t post often or want to keep up with any mentions of your top blog posts on other websites, you can create a Google Alert using the exact match for your post’s title by putting the title in quotation marks.

I deliver all of my Google Alerts to an RSS feed so I can manage them in Google Reader, but you can also have them delivered regularly by email. You’ll even get an instant preview of the types of results you will get.

How to Get Credit for Scraped Posts

If you use WordPress, then you definitely want to try out the RSS footer plugin. This plugin allows you to place a custom piece of text at the top or bottom of your RSS feed content.
As you can see, even if you aren’t using it for the purpose of getting credit back to your posts when content thieves steal it, you can still use it for a little extra bit of advertising with the possible benefit of people who subscribe to your RSS feed clicking through to your website or social profiles. And when someone does scrape your content from your RSS feed, it shows up there too

So in the event that someone finds your scraped content, they will hopefully notice the credit before assuming it was created by the blog that stole it. If you don’t have WordPress, you can simply include a note at the top or bottom of your content that includes the same information.

How to Stop Content Scrapers

If you’re not interested in anyone copying your content, then you have a few options to choose from. You can start by contacting the site that is stealing your content and sending them a notice that you want all of your content removed immediately. You can do this through the site’s contact form, email address, or post it to any social accounts they list.

If there is no contact information on the website stealing your content, you can do a Whois Lookup to (hopefully) find out who owns the domain.

If it is not privately registered, you should find an administrative contact’s email address. If not, you should at least see the domain registrar which, in this case, is GoDaddy and/or the hosting company for the website which, in this case, is HostGator. You can try to contact both companies (HostGator has a DMCA form and GoDaddy has an email) and let them know that the domain in question is stealing copyrighted content in hopes that the website will be suspended or removed.

You can also visit the DMCA and use their takedown services to remove anyone who is copying your photos, video, audio, blog, or other content. They even offer a WordPress plugin to incorporate a DMCA protected badge on your site to warn potential thieves.

Have you ever dealt with content scrapers and thieves? Do you leave it alone for the link benefits, or do you fight back? What other tools, services, or other preventative tactics do you use to block content scrapers? Please share your thoughts and experiences in the comments!

Data Scraping – Will Definitely Benefit a Business Startup

With increasingly data shared using internet, the data collected as well as the usage cases are increasing with an unbelievable pace. We’ve entered into the “Big Data” age and data scraping is among the resources to supply big data engines, the latest data for analytical analytics, contest monitoring, or just to steal the data.

From the technology viewpoint, competent data scraping is fairly complicated. It has many open-source projects that allow anybody to run a web data scraper through him. Nevertheless it’s the entire different story while it needs to be an interior of the business as well as that you require not only maintaining your scrapers but also scaling them as well as extract the data smartly as you need.

That is the reason why different services are selling the “data scraping” as service. Their work is taking care about all the technical characteristics so that you can have the data required without any industrial knowledge. Fundamentally all these startups pay attention for collecting the data and then extract its value for selling it to the customers.

Let’s take some examples:

• Sales Intelligence – The scrapers monitor competitors, marketplaces, online directories, and data from the public markets to discover leads. For instance, some tool’s track websites that drop or add JavaScript tags from the competitors therefore you can call them as eligible leads.
• Price Intelligence – A very ordinary use is the price monitoring. If this is in with e-commerce, travel, or property industry monitoring competitors’ prices as well as adjusting yours consequently is generally the key. All these services monitor the prices and using the analytical algorithms they may provide you advice about where the puck can be.
• Marketing – Data scraping may also be used for monitoring how the competitors are doing. From the reviews they have on the marketplaces to get coverage as well as financially published data one can find out a lot. Concerned about marketing, there is a development hacking class which teaches how to use scraping for the marketing objectives.

Finance intelligence, economic intelligence, etc have more and more financial, political, and economical data accessible online with the newer type of services that collect and add up of that, are increasing.

Let’s go through some points concerned with the market:

• It’s tough to evaluate how huge the data scraping market is as this is with the intersection of many big industries like sales, IT security, finance and marketing intelligence. This method is certainly a small part of all these industries however is expected to increase in the coming years.
• It’s a secured bet to indicate that increasingly SaaS will get pioneering applications for the web data scraping as well as progressively startups will use data scraping services from the safety viewpoint.
• As all the startups are generally entering huge markets using niche products / approaches (web data scraping isn’t a solution of everything, it’s more like a feature) they are expected to be obtained by superior players (within the safety, sales, or marketing tools industries). The technological barriers are also there.

Web Scraping Services : Making Modern File Formats More Accessible

Surprisingly a search on Google only turned up one business, that will create a customized PDF scraping utility for your project.

Increasing Accessibility by Scraping Information From PDF

You may have heard about data scraping which is a method that is being used by computer programs in extracting data from an output that comes from another program. To put it simply, this is a process which involves the automatic sorting of information that can be found on different resources including the internet which is inside an html file, PDF or any other documents. In addition to that, there is the collection of pertinent information. These pieces of information will be contained into the databases or spreadsheets so that the users can retrieve them later.

Most of the websites today have text that can be accessed and written easily in the source code. However, there are now other businesses nowadays that choose to make use of Adobe PDF files or Portable Document Format. This is a type of file that can be viewed by simply using the free software known as the Adobe Acrobat. Almost any operating system supports the said software. There are many advantages when you choose to utilize PDF files. Among them is that the document that you have looks exactly the same even if you put it in another computer so that you can view it. Therefore, this makes it ideal for business documents or even specification sheets. Of course there are disadvantages as well. One of which is that the text that is contained in the file is converted into an image. In this case, it is often that you may have problems with this when it comes to the copying and pasting.

This is why there are some that start scraping information from PDF. This is often called PDF scraping in which this is the process that is just like data scraping only that you will be getting information that is contained in your PDF files. In order for you to begin scraping information from PDF, you must choose and exploit a tool that is specifically designed for this process. However, you will find that it is not easy to locate the right tool that will enable you to perform PDF scraping effectively. This is because most of the tools today have problems in obtaining exactly the same data that you want without personalizing them.

Nevertheless, if you search well enough, you will be able to encounter the program that you are looking for. There is no need for you to have programming language knowledge in order for you to use them. You can easily specify your own preferences and the software will do the rest of the work for you. There are also companies out there that you can contact and they will perform the task since they have the right tools that they can use. If you choose to do things manually, you will find that this is indeed tedious and complicated whereas if you compare this to having professionals do the job for you, they will be able to finish it in no time at all. Scraping information from PDF is a process where you collect the information that can be found on the internet and this does not infringe copyright laws.

Web Scraping to Create Open Data

Open data is the idea that some data should be freely available to everyone to use and republish as they wish, without restrictions from
copyright, patents or other mechanisms of control.

My first experience with open data was in the year 2010. I wanted to create a better app for Bicing, the local bike sharing system in
Barcelona. Their website was a nightmare to use and I was tired of needing to walk to each station, trying to guess which ones had bicycles.
There was no app for Android, other than a couple of unofficial attempts that didn’t work at all.

I began as most would; I searched the internet and found a library named python-bicing that was somehow able to retrieve station and
bike information. This was my first time using Python and, after some investigation, I learned what the code was doing: accessing the
official website, parsing the JavaScript that generated their buggy map and giving back a nice chunk of Python objects that represented
bike share stations.

This I learned was called web scraping. It was like I had figured out a magic trick that would allow me to always be able to access the data I
needed without having to rely on faulty websites.

The rise of OpenBicing and CityBikes

Shortly after, I launched OpenBicing, an Android app for the local bike sharing system in Barcelona, together with a backend that used
python-bicing. I also shared a public API that provided this information so that nobody else had to do the dirty work ever again.

Since other cities were having the same problem, we expanded the scope of the project worldwide and renamed it CityBikes. That was 6
years ago.

To date, CityBikes is the most comprehensive and widely used open API for bike sharing information, with support for over 400 cities
worldwide. Our API processes around 10 requests per second and we scrape each of the 418 feeds about every three minutes. Making our
core library available for anyone to contribute has been crucial in maintaining and adding coverage for all of the supported systems.

The open data fallacy

We are usually regarded as “an open data project” even though less than 10% of our feeds come from properly licensed, documented and
machine-readable feeds. The remaining 90% is composed of 188 feeds that are machine-readable, but not licensed nor documented and
230 that are entirely maintained by scraping HTML pages.

North American BikeShare Association) recently published GBFS (General Bikeshare Feed Specification). This is clearly a step in the right
direction, but I can’t help but look at the almost 60% of services we currently support through scraping and wonder how long it will take the
remaining organizations to release their information, if ever. This is even more the case considering these numbers aren’t even taking into
account worldwide coverage.

Over the last few years there has been a progression by transportation companies and city councils toward providing their information as
“open data”. Directive 2003/98/EC encourages EU member states to release information regarding public services.

Yet, in most cases, there’s little action in enforcing Public Private Partnerships (PPP) to release their public information under a non-
restrictive license or even to transfer ownership of the data to city councils to be included in their open data portals.

Even with the increasing number of companies and institutions interested in participating in open data, by no means should we consider
open data a reality or something to be taken for granted. I firmly believe in the future and benefits of open data, I have seen them
happening all around CityBikes, but as technologists we need to stress the fact that the data is not out there yet.

The benefits of open data

When I started this project, I sought to make a difference in Barcelona. Now you can find tons of bike sharing apps that use our API on all
major platforms. It doesn’t matter that these are not our own apps. They are solving the same problem we were trying to fix, so their
success is our success.

Besides popular apps like Moovit or CityMapper, there are many neat projects out there, some of which are published under free software
licenses. Ideally, a city council could create a customization of any of these apps for their own use.

Most official applications for bike sharing systems have terrible ratings. The core business of transportation companies is running a service,

so they have no real motivation to create an engaging UI or innovate further. In some cases, the city council does not even own the rights to
the data, being completely at the mercy of the company providing the transportation service.

Open data over apps

When providing public services, city councils and companies often get lost in what they should offer as an aid to the service. They focus on
a nice map or a flashy application, rather than providing the data behind these service aids. Maps, apps, and websites have a limited focus
and usually serve a single purpose. On the other hand, data is malleable and the purest form of representation. While you can’t create
something new from looking and playing with a static map (except, of course, if you scrape it), data can be used to create countless
different iterations. It can even provide a bridge that will allow anyone to participate, improve and build on top of these public services.

Wrap Up

At this point, you might wonder why I care so much about bike sharing. To me it’s not about bike sharing anymore. CityBikes is just too
good of an open data metaphor, a simulation in which public information is freely accessible to everyone. It shows the benefits of open
data and the deficiencies that arise from the lack thereof.

We shouldn’t have to create open data by scraping websites. This information should be already available, easily accessed and provided in
a machine-readable format from the original providers, be they city councils or transportation companies. However, until there’s another
option, we’ll always have scraping.

Web Scraping – Ethical Data Collection Activity or an Illegal Practice?

Abiding by the definition, web scrapping is a method to extract data from website. There can be different reasons to perform this task, such as for reporting, market research, to determine share indexes, know website updates, product rate updates, to monitor data, and so on. Besides these, data theft is another of the prominent motives behind web data extraction, which ultimately holds the use of a web scraper as unethical and at times, illegal.

Technical definition

In technical terms, data scraping is a method of collecting data from a website through specific software. These software programs or web scrapers give the website owners the impression of human web surfing and extract a big volume of data, which is usually difficult for any user visitor to access manually. The apps simulate human exploration of online data by embedding web browsers, or implementing HTTP to fulfill the cause of data extractors.

Relation with data mining

Usually, data mining refers to analyzing data from varied perspectives and transforming it to meaningful information that could help in boosting sales or mitigating financial risks in a business. As for web scraping, it involves extraction of analytical data from the web. At present, web scrapping comprises major source of data extraction carried out by data miners. This is because almost everything is now available online and for any data miner, this resource is no less than a gold mine.

The web scraping process

In this data scraping method, the experts look out for tricks to format the URLs into pages that include the usable information. The web scrapers then parse the DOM tree to extract data from the website. In simple language, the web scrapers process the semi-structured or unstructured data pages of the desired website and then convert the resulting data into a well structured form. The users can harvest or modify the structured data in a better manner.

Web scraping – legal or unethical?

It solely relies on your intentions, whether you are doing this activity in the interest of the masses or just wish to satisfy your personal interests. If it is for a goodwill, such as to research on share index to predict the market situation in the coming days, it is fine. Another positive example could be to identify the trend of market and suggest a client on viable business boosting methods accordingly.

However, if you are doing web scraping for personal gratification then it may well be termed as intrusion into one’s personal data. For example, if you are hacking into the database of a university to steal the academic articles and using them in your own project. Any such instance is definitely an act of stealth and may accompany relevant punishment. Concisely, to get hold of someone’s creative work for individual gains is unethical. Such people also deploy several bots to for data scraping or spinning, which in turn choke the search engine results and hardly useful to the internet.

Considerations that deem web scraping illegal

Generally, web scraping is illegal in two instances:

1. When you violate the terms and conditions of the service of the concerned website:

Most of the data-oriented websites disallow data scraping. Hence, if you are trying to extract data from that website, the owner has all the rights to sue you on the offense of breach of contract.

2. When you publish scraped content:

This is yet another condition that may delve you into violating the right of the copyright holders. If you are only scraping the content for fair use, it may be permissible. However, companies often hold all the publishing rights and may file suit against you if you publish their data without their permission.

Remedy to illegal web scraping

Despite running the apprehensions of getting identified, unethical web scrapers deter to steal data from websites. Hence, the web owners themselves need to be alert enough not to fall prey to such fraudulent activities. Indeed, it is your data and you won’t like it to get compromised at any cost. Just like there are many web scraping tools available online, you can also opt for applications that offer protection against web data extraction as a fruitful remedy. These software safeguard your website content from hacking attacks such as bots, denial of service, brute force, session opening and transaction anomalies, and more.

Summary: Technology has two facets – good and bad. It depends on us which one to adopt; the same holds in the case of web scraping as well. We should make sure to use this innovation for the benefit of society and not to steal away some one’s creativity, which is indeed unethical and at times, illegal

Taking a cue from the Ryanair screen scraping judgment

Screen scraping is the best way to aggregate web data much faster than a human possibly can. However, is there any such thing known as ethical web scraping?

Well it’s not scraping in itself that is good or bad. What matters is how you use the scraped data. It would be extremely unethical to steal data, republish it or use it to cause harm to a business. This was clearly established when the EU passed a judgment in favour of Ryanair.

The EU’s highest court passed a judgment in favour of Ryan air, and this will positively prevent people from scraping and using others data in an unethical manner. Ryanair had claimed that PR Aviation scraped its data regarding the flight scheduled and then used it to allow people book Ryanair flights via the PR Aviation website and this is clearly an infringement of database rights.
